Privacy Policy (English)

1. Who We Are

bisdata (bisdata.co.il) is a digital intelligence platform for Israel's food-and-beverage industry, operated by bisdata ("we," "us"). Full legal entity details appear in the Terms of Use. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and what your rights are.

2. Information We Collect

Site visitors and newsletter subscribers: When you sign up, we collect your full name, email address, and role.

Subscription customers (bisdata Card): When opening a business account and purchasing a subscription, we collect account details (business name, contact person, phone, email, address) and billing details for invoicing purposes. Credit card details themselves are never stored by us; they are handled directly by authorized external payment and invoicing providers (Grow for payment processing, Green Invoice (Morning) for issuing invoices), which operate in accordance with their own security standards.

bisdata Pro users: When opening a bisdata Pro account (pro.bisdata.co.il), we collect your name, email address, and password (stored with us only in encrypted/hashed form, never as plain text). If the account holder claims an existing business in our data repository, we store the link between the account and the claimed business, in order to display the relevant data for that business on the dashboard.

3. Public Information About Businesses

In addition to the personal data described above, the Site displays business-level statistical data (such as ratings, review counts, activity, and visibility indices), aggregated and processed from publicly available information on public platforms. This data relates to businesses as entities, and is not, as a rule, personal data as defined under the Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981.

Where an individual believes that personally identifying information about them (as distinct from information about the business as an entity) appears in the public data displayed on the Site, they are welcome to contact us by email at [email protected]; their request will be reviewed in accordance with the correction and removal procedure set out in the Site's Terms of Use.

4. Purposes of Use and Legal Basis

We use the information to: operate the subscription and customer access to the service; issue invoices and manage billing; send updates about the service and new content; respond to support inquiries; and improve the product. Processing of the information is carried out on the basis of performance of the agreement with you (subscription), your consent (newsletter), and the Company's legitimate interest in operating the service. We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

5. Sharing Information with Third Parties

Personal information is shared only with: (a) our payment and invoicing providers (Grow, Green Invoice) for the purpose of processing payments and issuing accounting documents; (b) technology infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting) acting as data processors on our behalf; (c) as required by law, court order, or the demand of a competent authority. We do not share personal information for third-party marketing purposes.

6. Cookies, Usage Analytics, and Local Storage

The Site uses technical cookies for functionality, as well as usage-analytics tools (Google Analytics, GA4) to understand usage patterns on the Site and improve it. You may block cookies in your browser settings; blocking may affect some functionality.

In addition, the Site's accessibility menu stores the display preferences you select (such as text size or contrast mode) in your browser's local storage (localStorage) only, under the key bisdata-a11y. This information is stored on your device only, is never sent to us, and is never shared with any third party.

7. Data Retention

Personal information is retained for as long as an active account or subscription exists, and thereafter for the period required for accounting purposes, dispute resolution, and compliance with legal requirements (including tax law), after which it is deleted or anonymized.

8. Data Security

We employ reasonable and accepted security measures to protect the personal information held by us, including access restrictions and secure payment processing through authorized external providers. That said, absolute security cannot be guaranteed for information transmitted over or stored on the internet.

9. Your Rights

In accordance with the Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, including Amendment 13 to the law (in effect from August 2025), you have, among others, the following rights with respect to the personal information we hold about you:

• Right of access: to receive information about whether we hold personal information about you, and to inspect it.
• Right of correction: to request correction of personal information that is incorrect, incomplete, unclear, or outdated.
• Right of deletion: to request deletion of personal information that is inaccurate, partial, out of date, was obtained or used unlawfully, or is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected, subject to the accounting, legal, and regulatory retention obligations that apply to us.
• Identity of the database controller: The controller of the database ("Controller") is Kalai Holdings Ltd., Company No. 515403947, as detailed in the Site's Terms of Use.

To exercise these rights, contact us by email at [email protected]. The Privacy Protection Law provides you with remedies in the event of a violation of its provisions, including recourse to the Privacy Protection Authority.

10. Changes to This Policy

bisdata reserves the right to update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be published on this page, and where necessary, active customers will be notified by email.
